ONE-STOP MINING MACHINE SUPPLIER

BTMA–What are the differences between jaw crusher and cone crusher ?

Crushing equipment has a deceptively simple job of breaking huge boulders and rocks into smaller aggregates. Something so simple is quite complicated in practice. Huge machines weighing thousands of kilograms pulverized some of the hardest material ever created, pumping out tons after tons of precious rock.

Two of the most popular types of aggregate equipment on the market include cone crushers and jaw crushers. Although both cone crushers and jaw crushers perform similar jobs of crushing rock, their methods and applications are quite different.

Introducing Jaw Crusher

These heavy machines serve as the primary crushers for mining and processing ore. Two powerful jaws (one fixed, one movable) are mounted in a “V” arrangement. The movable jaw reciprocates, crushing the large rocks until they are small enough to fit through the opening at the bottom of the “V”. The BTMA jaw crusher is an example of an efficient aggregate solution.

Benefits of Jaw Crusher

Every site has different needs and requirements, so jaw crushers can be found in different sizes and capacities. This gives you the opportunity to make the best choices for your project. If you’re not sure what size is right for your current needs, talk to one of our general specialists.

Parts are easy to find and maintenance is simple. The BTMA team carry a full inventory of Jaw Crusher Parts to keep your machines up and running. Performing simple maintenance will ensure that your jaw crusher provides long-term value.

Cone Crusher Introduction

Cone crushers take care of secondary and tertiary crushing applications. Fine-grained and medium-sized aggregates (such as those used in asphalt and concrete) are produced by grinding rock between a solid metal cone and a fixed wall with an eccentric rotating shaft. The PY series cone crusher is an example of a powerful cone crusher.

Benefits of Cone Crusher

Large feed openings can be paired with small discharge sizes, giving the cone crusher a high crushing ratio. This makes the machine very efficient and reduces the need for further shredding applications. Add that to the low operating costs of running the machine, and you have a powerful tool with a small footprint.

Wear-resistant, durable components give the machine a long service life. Parts are readily available, as well, limiting any equipment downtime.
